Strength Training with Older Adults
With the onset of the 5th decade of life, degenerative processes affect skeletal muscle size, quality and strength. These age-related changes can mean up to 10% losses in muscle strength within 10 years, if nothing is done about it. Resistance training in older populations has thus become a pertinent topic.
