Muscle Hypertrophy
Following injury, surgery and disuse, marked atrophy of the associated skeletal muscles can occur and, at a dramatic rate. This visible loss in muscle cross-sectional area often directs rehabilitation interventions to prioritise hypertrophy, but is this important in all populations?
